Why Are Smokers Switching To Electronic Cigarettes?

Over the decades there has been fighting between the smokers and the non-smokers.  Non-smokers complain about breathing in the second hand smoke, the smell caused by cigarette smoke, the health risks and the list goes on.   The smokers on the other hand were defending their rights to smoke.  

Then it happened.  The law took over and banned smoking in all public locations.  At first it was subtle.  Smokers could not smoke inside buildings any longer.  But, that was not good enough for the non-smokers.  So, certain public buildings were restricting smokers from smoking outside the buildings.  

On top of all the debates between smokers and non-smokers and the new bans in place, the smokers were smashed with yet another forceful attack to get them to extinguish their habits.  More taxes were added to the already high price of cigarettes.

This was the final straw that broke the camel's back! Smokers everywhere are tossing away their cigarettes in record numbers.  They are turning to an option that will not involve the non-smokers in any way.  What is that substitute?  It's called an electronic cigarette.

So, what is the difference between a regular cigarette and an electronic cigarette?  Let's compare.

Regular Cigarette:

A regular cigarette holds over 4,000 chemicals, including 43 known cancer-causing (carcinogenic) compounds and 400 other toxins. These include nicotine, tar, and carbon monoxide, as well as formaldehyde, ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, arsenic, and DDT.

As a cigarette is smoked, the quantity of tar inhaled into the lungs increases, and the last draw holds more than two times as much tar as the first drag. Carbon monoxide makes it difficult for red blood cells to carry oxygen throughout the body. Tar is a assortment of substances that together produce a sticky mass in the lungs.

Electronic Cigarette:

An electronic cigarette has a battery which powers the electronic cigarette and also has an atomizer which is the warming element which warms up the nicotine liquid which in turn creates vapor.  Finally, there is a cartridge which holds a filter that holds the nicotine liquid.

When an electronic cigarette is smoked,  it operates like this.  The smoker takes a draw on the cigarette.  When the air passes through the atomizer it triggers a warming process that makes vapor.  

Electronic cigarettes do not have any chemicals or carcinogens.  They don't have tar, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, arsenic, or DDT.

As the electronic cigarette is smoked, there is no tar being inhaled into the lungs because there is no tar. There is no carbon monoxide so naturally the red blood cells are not being affected.  There is also no tobacco being smoked so there is no smell.

Smokers are tossing away their cigarettes and switching to electronic cigarettes because electronic cigarettes are a  healthier option for both the smoker and the non-smoker.  There is no smell, there is no second hand smoke and there are no chemicals.
