Your Morning Shower - Not So Refreshing!
Every time we are in the shower we get the feeling of being a little close to nature. The feeling is beyond the mere need to clean our bodies, it is something more. Just like us, animals feel the urge to bathe, to cleanse themselves and in some cases just to be closer to the better side of nature.
This innocent need to come into contact with water sometimes ends in disaster. Recently, a large number of hippos were discovered dead in Africa with no apparent sign of any disease. Deeper study found that they had actually died of Anthrax pores. A huge lake was found to be infected with the Anthrax virus.
Similarly, little do we humans know about the hidden dangers of our shower. Almost all municipal water supplies are chlorinated which is intended to act as a disinfectant. This ends up harming the human body because our body absorbs it from the shower. Chlorine harms the human body in the following ways.
Harmful Effects of Chlorine
- It hardens arteries
- Destroys proteins in the body
- Irritates skin and sinus conditions
- Aggravates asthma, allergies, and respiratory problems
The dangers of bathing without a shower filter have long been identified and discussed.

There are several byproducts of chlorination, each deadlier than the next and vice versa.
CHLOROFORM
- Causes excessive free radical formation (accelerated aging!)
- Causes normal cells to mutate
- Causes cholesterol to oxidize
DCA (Dichloro acetic acid)
- Alters cholesterol metabolism
- Has been shown to cause liver cancer in lab animals.
MX (another chlorinated acid)
- Cause genetic mutations that can lead to cancer growth
- It has been found in all chlorinated water for which it was tested

The evidence is clear. The risks are tremendous. The advice is simple: Stop chlorinating your body! The simple solution is a good Shower Filter System.
